When Is Data Entry A Scam
When Is Data Entry A Scam
Individuals, who have looked into work-at-home opportunities on the Internet, have most likely come across plenty of data entry job advertisements. Many of these advertisements promise individuals that they can make a ton of money in their homes simply performing data entry. If you have any experience on the Internet or have even fallen for the data entry scams, you have surely discovered that you did not receive what was promised. There are generally two major type of data entry scams.
The first type of data entry scam usually involves you purchasing a report that promises to show you how to make money by actually promoting affiliate programs, and not data entry in the generally accepted sense. Essentially, you are earning money by promoting someone else's products and receiving a percentage of the sale. “Data entry” in this sense, is actually typing in ads to promote your product. What they don't tell you is that in many cases you will have to pay for these ads. There is no guarantee that you will make a certain amount of money. This “data entry” program really only teaches you how to use pay-per-click search engines to make money promoting affiliate products.
Unless you know what you are doing, you can end up losing a lot of money. Now Adwords marketing or affiliate marketing is a great way to earn money and some people make a lot of money doing it. However, it does take some type of monetary investment. So the advertisements that claim that you can make a lot of money fast, typing data, don’t really focus on you performing data entry in the widely accepted sense. Instead they teach you how to make money with affiliate marketing, which is really misleading pay-per-click search engines to make money promoting affiliate products.
The second type of data entry scam involves paying for some type of report that claims to provide you with a list of businesses that will pay you to perform data entry. A lot of times these lists are totally outdated, the company doesn't exist or they don't actually pay for workers to perform data entry task out of their homes.
The very best way to find a data entry job is to outsource your talent at some of the Internet marketing forums or at some of the freelance sites. You may also want to visit or set up meetings with local businesses and see if they have a need for a data entry worker and if they are willing to allow you to work from home. You may find some mom-and-pop shops or some small businesses willing to let you do just that.
